TIG Sports is a sports marketing agency that specializes in creating and organizing large-scale and international sports events in the Netherlands. Started out in 2004 as a golfpromotor and TIG Sports in the meantime has grown to a multi-sports company whose active within several sporting events of which the F1 Heineken Dutch Grand Prix in Zandvoort, the FIVB World Championship Volleyball for women, World Gymnaestrada, The Ocean Race and the Dutch Open.
When organizing the F1 event, it is important for TIG to be able to provide access to suppliers for different parts of the terrain and on different parts per user. They ask for a solution to make the flow of people and resources during the load in, load out and the event run as smoothly as possible, with real-time insight into the data. The system also needs to be flexible so that last minute changes can be done. Think of changes in the case of illness or extra capacity.
Levarne has developed a dynamic accreditation system that can generate a map of the terrain in order to assign different zones per user. A QR code is generated on this accreditation card to which the relevant data of the visitor can be linked. Employees and suppliers can use this card to gain access to certain parts of the site at different times. In this way TIG can check whether these people actually have access on that day, at that location. In addition to being able to create this accreditation, Levarne has also developed the app that allows TIG to scan QR codes from the accreditation card on site to give them access to the site at any given time.
Due to the dynamic accreditation system, all relevant attendees can be correctly accredited, so that no people and resources end up in the wrong place. With the clear and flexible application, TIG can make last minute changes without impacting the previously created accreditation card. In 2021 this made a nice contribution to a successful event and for 2022 we are working on linking even more data to this.
Levarne is building with TIG on the further development of their entire platform. For the accreditation part, we will ensure that the scan app can also be used for catering, for example. Who is allowed when and which catering. This data is added to the QR code with which the accreditation card can be scanned at the desired catering moment to check whether that person qualifies for it. But also to generate the data afterwards whether those people actually visited and when. We can do a lot more with the data of a person. Has a supplier requested a power cable or perhaps a pallet of water bottles? By checking a person by scanning the QR, we can also streamline this process in planning and control of these products.
