Introduction
DHL is the biggest mail- and logistics company in the world and is active in 220 countries. Logistic solutions are provided by roads, air and railways with the purpose of bringing people together and changing their lives.
The challenge
Hence the amount of packages that DHL processes daily, the challenge arose to create an efficient package-scan system which could create print labels instantly. Because of the need of efficiency, the system had to follow a logical order and it didn’t need to be made unnecessarily complex, so every user could work with it right away.
The solution
Levarne created a desktop environment in which DHL employees could scan a barcode from a package. All order-related fields are consequently filled in automatically. A second (independent) co-worker then needs to log in in the same screen after which the data can be checked and verified. After the data is verified, the same system will create a print label and will ensure its printed.

This clear system ensures processing large amounts of packages efficiently. Also, it’s very user friendly because the screens indicate clearly what’s the purpose of the screen. With this everyone can work with it instantly and efficiency is optimized.
