Cikam is a family business that specializes in making the processes around cash more efficient. Wherever cash has to be counted and processed, Cikam has solutions to count the money faster, process it more efficiently, and most importantly to increase security around cash. They do this through a closed cash register system, linked to the cash register.
Cikam had a question in two parts. For the first part, they were looking for a solution for the fact that linking the cash register to the cash register system was not efficient. Setting up the specifications was complicated and took a lot of time and work, which meant that the implementation time of new systems had a long process. This had to be faster. In addition, they did not want the complexity to be with the supplier anymore, which it was. For the second part, the system could not read the current state of affairs in the machines and Cikam could not remotely see whether everything was working properly for their customers.
Levarne has developed a fully scalable application by means of a Cash Management System (CMS) that accelerates the implementation time and directly controls the machines once in use. In addition, a Customer Dashboard (CD) has been developed, which provides insight into everything that happens with the CMS.

The implementation process is now much faster; instead of a few months, it is now a few days. The application is scalable for different screen sizes. The system can, among other things, receive notifications when a certain amount of money is reached and about the status of the system. The CD allows daily reports to be viewed and the end user to see the current contents of the machines. In addition, Cikam also has insight into whether the system is working properly.
The user-friendliness and modular construction enables Cikam to take away the worries of their customers. The customers are satisfied with the result, both the front and back office. They have more insight and control over the money flows within their company. These can be viewed everywhere, in real time, making them able to anticipate faster. Due to the clear structure and clearly designed icons, the applications are pleasant and easy to use. Increasing the speed of implementation makes it easier for Cikam to scale up and grow.
To provide the CMS and CD with all their information, we make use of a combination of local applications and cloud services. These are connected to each other by means of a service that does nothing other than taking care of the communication between the local applications and the cloud. Think of all the events, for example, that the machine generates when an action happens, or the other way around, when an action in the CMS is clicked, those need to end up in the store somehow.
To actually be able to execute these actions, we made another service, which takes care of all the communication from the Proxy to the EasyCash Machine and catches any possible messages from the machine, to send it back to the communication service, which sends it to the cloud again. Once in the cloud, all these events get processed to easily readable transactions, which the Customer Dashboard can show to the user. We have also built a program that extends the functionality of the EasyCash machines locally, namely an API with its own payment application on it. The API is mainly meant for the other POS suppliers to quickly and easily make a connection to the EasyCash machines. The payment application is built on the idea that the client should easily be able to do the payments themselves, but meanwhile there are, other than our own application, many other POS suppliers that are now connected to the API.
